Swanson Center Counseling Services in Michigan City
The Counseling Services of Michigan City provides a variety of therapeutic services for all age groups in the Michigan City area. The services may be provided in a brief or long term treatment format and include individual therapy, marital/couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Other services provided include case management services court consultation and psychological testing.

Community Support Services (CSS)
Community Support Services is a system of community-based case management services for persons who have been identified as seriously mentally ill. This service can be provided in Supervised Group Living (SGL) homes, Alternative Families for Adults (AF/A) homes, Semi-Independent Living Program (SILP) apartments, or for individuals living independently in the community.

Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT)
The ACT program consists of a multidisciplinary group of mental health professionals who work as a team to provide intensive services to clients with SMI. Most ACT contacts occur in community settings. ACT teams have a holistic approach to providing services, helping with medications, housing services, helping with medications, housing finances and anything else that is critical to an individuals success in community living.

Supervised Group Living (SGL) and Transitional Living Programs
The Supervised Group Living and Transitional Living Programs are the twenty-four hour residential services offered through Swanson Center. Swanson Center offers these services through two sites in Michigan City, Indiana.

Adult Day Treatment Services/Best Supported Employment Individual Placement and Support Services
Adult Day Treatment Services at Swanson Center includes partial hospitalization services, specialized outpatient services, and vocational services. These services are offered in Michigan City and LaPorte.

Passages
Passages is Swanson Center’s comprehensive substance abuse program that offers therapeutic substance abuse services. Services include individual and group therapy, intensive outpatient services, aftercare groups and case consultation.
